چکیده
Introduction Transcription factors are proteins that regulate gene expression levels by binding to specific short DNA sequences (cisacting elements) in the promoter region of target genes, and enhancing or repressing their transcription rate. Their identification is a key step for the reconstruction of transcriptional regulatory networks. The availability of complete genomes together with protein domain models (e. g., HMMS) in public repositories (e. g., PFAM, SMART) allows to predict sets of putative transcription factors on a genome-wide scale in several species (e. g., [1, 2]). Here we have predicted the putative complete set of transcription factors in five plant species.

The Plant Transcription Factor Database (PlnTFDB; http://plntfdb.bio.uni-potsdam.de/v3.0/) is an integrative database that provides putatively complete sets of transcription factors (TFs) and other transcriptional regulators (TRs) in plant species (sensu lato) whose genomes have been completely sequenced and annotated. The complete sets of 84 families of TFs and TRs from 19 species ranging from...
متن کاملLearning Optimal Control of Synchronization in Networks of Coupled Oscillators using Genetic Programming-based Symbolic Regression
Networks of coupled dynamical systems provide a powerful way to model systems with enormously complex dynamics, such as the human brain. Control of synchronization in such networked systems has far reaching applications in many domains, including engineering and medicine. In this paper, we formulate the synchronization control in dynamical systems as an optimization problem and present a multi-...
